The majority of people in the world are not wealthy. They struggle with money month by month and often have more month at the end of the month than money. It is debilitating but because most people are in this predicament, they just accept it.
Of course you want to be wealthy, everyone does. You want to never have to worry about money again. But the truth is you have the idea of wealth all wrong. You think that when you have a lot of money in the bank, then you will be wealthy…but actually you will only ever have a lot of money in the bank when you become wealthy first.
My good friend and brilliant human behavioral specialist (especially around money) Peter Sage, coined this phrase and it makes so much sense…
“Most people think that how much money they have determines how wealthy they are, but it is actually the other way round, how wealthy you are determines how much money you have.”
Just let that sink in for a while.
Wealth starts in the mind. I know from my experience that I first had to win the inner battle of wealth before the outer world reflected it. You will never get the money into your bank if you cannot become wealthy in your mind first.
I tried everything – I worked crazy hard, I became a brilliant marketer, I persisted through thick and thin but I never became wealthy. Until one day I got a piece of advice that changed my life. It was to learn everything about how to make more money, manage it better and save it… and don’t stop until my life illustrated that I have got it.
Listen to that again… “don;t stop until your life illustrates that you have got it.”
So how do you win the inner game of wealth and money. Well, you do exactly what the advice said above. Learn everything you can.
I took that advice in early 2012 and 20 months later I was a multimillionaire. Its not overnight but it worked.
I suggest you take it to: “ It was to learn everything about how to make more money, manage it better and save it… and don’t stop until my life illustrated that I have got it.”
